Annual Reports

Each Canadian Broadcast Standards Council's Annual Report covers the period from September 1 to August 31. The Reports are issued as soon as possible after the end of the CBSC's fiscal year, following their approval by the Council's National Executive. Among other things, each Annual Report contains a statistical analysis of complaints received by the Council, a synopsis of the decisions released, as well as the Message of the National Chair, which comments on matters of significance in the past year and provides a prospective view for the coming year.

Since each Annual Report is issued as a part of the Council's undertaking to provide the CRTC with information on its activities (pursuant to P.N. CRTC 1991-90), the Commission formally acknowledges receipt of the Annual Report, often commenting on aspects of the Council's activities that are of particular moment to the CRTC. Those responses are provided following the Annual Reports to which they apply.
